About Felix Kubin
About The Tetchy Teenage Tapes

Felix Kubin went back deeply into his history and came up with a bunch of tapes of early recordings, that he did with a couple of friends in projects with names like 'Voll die Goennung', 'Intensive Styroporsymbole' or 'Rekonstruirtes Relativpronomen'. So called 'idiot music', that is so much anti that you need not wonder about anything. No compromises und knowing exactly what you want: do your own thing and enjoy it. Fuck conventions. No problem with an extra dosis of stress and keeping the tempo fast. The lyrics and their sharp, pleasingly arrogant and latent crazy intonation declare a certain trust into the german language. Kubin did inhale the zeitgeist of that era deeply, spreads reminiscences to many that were important at that time and gave back something new to the world - although this world wouldn't always like to hear it. This arises the question what the 14years old kids do nowadays and whether there will be someone that kicks the ass of all those artyfarty electronic musicians of today. His music still - or again - sounds important.
